Research objectives

epistemic uncertainty 2x

DeEP integrates philosophy of science, epistemology, and decision theory to develop a new analysis of non-quantifiable uncertainty.

The project pursues three main objectives:

  1. To analyse ‘Knightian’ uncertainty as disagreement,
  2. To articulate a new understanding of risk as an intersubjective attitude, and
  3. To contribute to the development of new strategies for managing severe uncertainty.

DeEP collaborates with Italian and international universities and companies in order to achieve these objectives.
